LA CROSSE, Wis. (WBAY) - Joseph Hunt (800 meter) and James Flanigan (shot put) each came away with gold for Notre Dame on the first day of the high school track & field state championships.
The strong start from Hunt and Flanigan propelled the Tritons to an early lead in the Division 2 team standings as well.
Elsewhere, Shiocton’s Lydia Hofacker led the way for Shiocton, posting the best time in the qualifiers in the Division 3 300 meter hurdles. She also anchored their 4x400 meter relay, which qualified for tomorrow morning’s finals as well.

- West De Pere’s Daniel Nehls, wheelchair shot put
- De Pere’s Grady Lenn - D1 1600 M
