East Side voters will have a varied slate of candidates to choose from based on the filings submitted by the end-of-week deadline.
Each municipality — Oakley, Coalville, Francis, Kamas and Henefer — will elect a mayor and at least two town or city council seats in the 2025 election. The candidate filing period opened on Monday, June 2, and remained open until 5 p.m. on Friday.
In Oakley, incumbent Mayor Zane Woolstenhulme announced his intent to run for reelection. Oakley City Councilor Steve Wilmoth filed as a challenger.
Two seats on the Oakley City Council with four-year terms will also appear on the ballot. Amy Regan, Kerbee Leavitt and Christopher Dillman declared their candidacy. All three would be newcomers.
