PEKIN, Ill. (WMBD) -- Already over puppy capacity yet still willing to nurse 24 dogs back to health after being dropped off at their front door.
Tazwell Animal Protective Society, or "TAPS" in Pekin, is asking for your support as they stretch their resources thin.
On Friday, the executive director of TAPS said the person who bred the dogs that were dropped off was doing it unlawfully. At first, TAPS was informed about receiving 24 dogs, but now, they have received a dozen more.
TAPS Executive Director Tori Menke said there's not enough space for them, but she's willing to make it work for their shot at a better life.
