PRICE, Utah (KUTV) — Multiple officers from several law enforcement agencies have responded to a location in Carbon County.

Several Price residents reported seeing police officers and sheriff's deputies from both Carbon County and Utah County respond to the area Friday evening.

Witnesses said there was a large police presence near the Castleview Hospital.

Initial reports from Castle View Radio said a police officer confirmed there was an active shooter incident.

Officials from the Price City Police Department posted a short statement on their social media pages.

"There is a large police presence in Carbon County but it does NOT have to do with an active shooter, nor does it have to do with Castleview Hospital. Further information will be released at a later time," they said.
