SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — The Downtown San Diego Partnership and the San Diego Padres-affiliated Ballpark District Community Partnership have announced the formation of a new daily clean-up crew to tackle street maintenance in and around Petco Park.

The new team, called the "Cleanup Crew," will focus on the 22 city blocks surrounding the stadium and other civic buildings like the San Diego Central Library — an area now incorporated as a subdistrict under the banner of the "Ballpark District."

The newly-formed subdistrict is bounded by Sixth Avenue in the west, Commercial Avenue in the south, Interstate 5 in the east, and Island Avenue and Market Street in the north.
