OMAHA, Neb. —

Nebraska Secretary of State Bob Evnen announced his re-election bid on Friday.

He has served as Nebraska Secretary of State since Jan. 2019.

"I have pledged to Nebraskans that my foremost consideration on the pardons board is the protection of public safety. And I have kept my promise. I will always keep my promise to Nebraskans by putting public safety first, as well as fighting for victims and fulfilling my responsibilities on the pardons board," Evnen said.

He said he's running so he can continue to fight for conservative values.

"I am proudly pro-life, pro-Second Amendment, and pro-Nebraska," he said.

Evnen said he's especially proud to have helped make Nebraska the top state in voting security and accuracy.
