NEW ORLEANS — A flood advisory is in effect until 9:45 PM this evening for parts of southeast Louisiana, including Jefferson and Orleans parishes, due to flooding

Minor flooding is expected in low-lying and poor drainage areas, according to NOLA Ready.

A Street Flood Advisory has been issued for parts of Orleans, Jefferson until 6/06 9:45PM. Street flooding is possible in these areas. Don't drive through flooded roads. — WWL-TV Weather (@wwltvweather) June 6, 2025

While the weekend will stay hot and humid with highs in the low 90s and only scattered storms, residents should be cautious tonight as heavy rain may cause localized flooding.
