Doyle Baxley, aged 15, son of Mr. and Mrs. B.L. Baxley, living nine miles from Keo, is dead and his father, four brothers, two sisters and an uncle are in local hospitals, all ill with typhoid fever, the ailment which claimed his life. Mrs. Baxley and a daughter, Nellie, are the only members of the Baxley family to escape the disease. The source of the germs has not been determined. Physicians, however, believe they were communicated in drinking water or milk. They also said that it was possible that the disease could have been spread by some member of the family.
