Severe weather swept through the Pikes Peak region Friday afternoon, bringing hail, heavy rain, and a Tornado Watch to El Paso County.
Multiple reports of a funnel cloud came in from south of Colorado Springs — with one video captured in the Fountain Mesa neighborhood around 3:30 p.m. Friday.
Weather delayed multiple flights to and from the Colorado Springs Airport and forecasters warned of large hail, isolated tornadoes, and strong winds could be possible in southern Colorado through Friday night.
Outside of the Pikes Peak region, portions of Kiowa, Otero and Las Animas counties were under a Tornado Warning that expired at 6:45 p.m.
Storms were expected to clear out of the Pikes Peak region by Saturday, which should see sunny skies with a high near 79, according to the National Weathe
