MONTGOMERY, Ala. ( WBRC ) - Enjoy a day of free fishing in the state on Saturday, June 7, for Alabama’s Free Fishing Day.

On Friday, Alabama Governor Kay Ivey invited the public to participate in the event that allows anyone - resident or not - to enjoy the fishing Alabama has to offer without purchasing a fishing license.

Free Fishing Day is part of National Fishing and Boating Week, which runs June 1-8.
