LENOIR COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – A man is facing multiple charges after leading deputies on a high-speed motorcycle chase in Lenoir County.

Deputies say they charged Zachary Wetherington with felony to elude arrest with a motor vehicle, misdemeanor marijuana possession, and several traffic violations last Friday.

According to deputies, a chase began after the 25-year-old failed to stop, starting a high-speed chase that continued into Greene County, where he was arrested.

During the arrest, deputies say they found marijuana on him.

Wetherington was taken to the Lenoir County Jail and given a $10,000 secured bond.
