CANTON — It was a long couple of days in northeast Ohio for the Perrysburg baseball team, but it was worth it when regionals ended with a 3-2 victory over Medina in a Division I regional final Friday at Thurman Munson Memorial Stadium, sending the Yellow Jackets to the state semifinals for the second straight year.

It was definitely a journey, however, to get to the trophy celebration. After regional semifinal victories Wednesday, Perrysburg and Medina sat through multiple weather delays Thursday before play was suspended. Perrysburg drove home Thursday night, only to have to return to Canton on Friday.
