LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - Nevada State Police are investigating a deadly wrong-way crash on the I-15, about 25 miles north of Las Vegas Motor Speedway early Monday morning.

Police said in a news release that the crash occurred at mile marker 79, about the halfway point between Las Vegas and Moapa, just after 1:40 a.m. A minivan was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes.

The two vehicles then burst into flames, according to police. The driver of the minivan was pronounced dead on scene. The semi truck driver went to the hospital with minor injuries.

It is unclear if impairment is suspected. No other details have been released at this time.

The Clark County coroner later identified the victim as Rayne Buff, a 30-year-old woman.
