The Arkansas State Police last week assisted the Arkansas Human Trafficking Council with the arrest of six people with links to human trafficking in an operation in West Memphis that also offered aid to nine trafficking victims and identified another 29 victims in the state, a news release from the agency states.

The six suspects were people who transported victims of human trafficking to the location of the arrest on May 29, the release states. One fled from police and was arrested after state troopers with the agency's Criminal Investigation Division used a tactical vehicle intervention -- a term used for a ramming maneuver -- to stop them.

Five of the suspects are charged with promoting prostitution and the sixth with being a felon in possession of a firearm. The release didn't name a
