CLEVELAND — A 7-year-old boy is in stable condition following an incident at Cleveland's Lonnie L. Burten Recreation Center Friday evening, police confirm to 3News.

Around 8:43 p.m., Cleveland police received a call for a child drowning in the Central neighborhood rec center's pool.

Authorities say officers immediately rendered first aid and the child was taken by ambulance to UH Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital. Officers notified the child's parents.
