BUCKHANNON, W.Va. (WBOY) — Despite its federal funding being slashed over the past few months, volunteers and advocates of AmeriCorps are still lending a helping hand to one another in West Virginia.

On Friday, Try This WV held its annual conference at West Virginia Wesleyan College with a twist in direction meant to help serve former members of AmeriCorps and organizations who have been affected by the federal budget cuts implemented by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

More than 100 people from all over the state attended the conference to help brainstorm ideas on how to move forward and how to serve each other and their communities.
