SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — Two women with key roles in small businesses said questionable operating practices at massage parlors in the Ballpark neighborhood have been an open secret.

"We want to make this neighborhood a family neighborhood," said Veronica Bojorquez, owner of Luna Coffee. "And I don't think that (numerous parlors) helps."

Salt Lake Police said it conducted undercover investigations at six massage businesses in Ballpark and discovered "violations" at five of them. Police released that information after KUTV reported on a community leader's concerns over the "concentration" of massage parlors.
