(PINPOINT WEATHER) -- Friday turned out to be a hotter, summery day... almost making 90 degrees for the first time at Charlotte. A few neighborhoods outside of the Queen City did reach 90. Either way, a hot and humid day! This heat and humidity will stick around this weekend, helping to fuel more scattered storms.
A few more rounds are expected to come through, starting with tonight. Some could turn severe with damaging wind gusts and/or some hail. Stay weather aware! Most storms will start to develop in the afternoons and evenings, but a few morning showers can't be ruled out as well.
The unsettled weather pattern stretches into next week as a front lingers nearby. Temperatures will reach the mid to upper 80s most days. Have a nice weekend!
Tonight: Areas of showers & storms. Low 70.
