Before hundreds of family members and friends, and under a cloudless sky, 151 seniors from Orcutt Academy High School turned their tassels and stepped into the future Friday during a commencement ceremony on the school’s front lawn.

The ceremony began with the sounds of celebration already in the air, as the Class of 2025 gathered in the campus gym, talking and laughing with nervous energy. Some students adjusted their elaborately decorated mortar boards — glittering with gems, messages, and photos — while others exchanged hugs or posed for last-minute group selfies.
