A heroic homecoming in Waco.

The Waco Police Department has announced that K9 Andor has returned home after being shot in late May.

According to the department, Andor was shot on Wednesday, May 28 while trying to apprehend a suspect. Waco PD said officers were called to the 2700 block of Homan Drive that evening for a civil disturbance with a gun. A caller reportedly told police a man was threatening to shoot her husband.

When police arrived on the scene and began searching for the suspect, police said the suspect, identified as 18-year-old Darrin King, shot Andor multiple times in the chest.
