Law enforcement in Oakland County say one suspect is in custody, and they’re looking for another, after a plot to stage a mass shooting at a Pontiac high school graduation ceremony was uncovered. Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard says deputies received a tip about a threat against the event on social media, and recovered loaded firearms at the scene.

“ Just those two weapons without changing magazines had 80 rounds of potential firepower,” Bouchard said. “Shooting into a graduation, you can only imagine the outcome of that.”

Bouchard said it appears the suspects were serious.

“ When you consider the weapons that were there, the individuals that were involved who have a history of being involved with weapons and violence. One is on probation for a weapons offense.”
