CHELAN COUNTY, Wash. — More than 100 officers are actively searching for Travis Decker, the man charged with murdering his three daughters near Leavenworth, the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office said Friday afternoon.

Evidence suggests Decker may be hiding in the wilderness, possibly using trails in the northern Cascade Range to escape to Canada .

Investigators have repeatedly described Decker as highly skilled in wilderness survival. Authorities closed a network of hiking trails in the northern Cascades on Thursday, identifying the Pacific Crest Trail as a prime area of interest. According to court documents, Decker had searched online for information about relocating to Canada prior to allegedly killing his children.
