TROIS-RIVIÈRES, Qué. — The Toledo Walleye found themselves chasing the Trois-Rivières Lions once again in the Kelly Cup Finals series and now must climb out of a big hole to stay in it.

Trois-Rivières has scored first in all four games. The Walleye gave up the first goal in Game 4 of the Kelly Cup Finals on Friday. The Walleye rallied to tie it on a goal by Brandon Hawkins but the Lions took the lead for good with 9:15 left in regulation to take a 3-1 win at a sold-out Colisée Vidéotron.

T-R also seized a 3-1 lead in the best-of-7 series and can close it out with a win Saturday on its home ice. Should the Lions close out, it will mark the third Kelly Cup Finals series that Toledo has lost since 2019, with no championships to show for it during that stretch.
