BURNSVILLE, Minn — Four people are in custody after multiple fights and gunshots following the graduation ceremony at Burnsville High School on Friday.

Burnsville police say around 8:30 p.m., officers already on site for the graduation heard and responded to gunshots that reportedly followed a series of altercations just west of the high school. Officers from nearby communities also responded to the scene.

Four people were apprehended in the wake of the incident. Police say no injuries were reported.

Burnsville Schools Superintendent Dr. Theresa Battle sent a message home to families late Friday evening informing them about what occurred.
