SANDUSKY COUNTY, Ohio — Surveillance video released Thursday shows Lakota Elementary Principal Dana Ward physically confronting a student. She’s now facing an assault charge tied to this encounter.

On the video, Ward is seen yanking a student’s arm, getting in the boy’s face and physically engaging with him in a forceful manner.

According to an official report filed May 8 with the Sandusky County Sheriff’s Office, the incident involved Ward and a young male student.

Deputies said the boy’s mother complained after witnessing Ward dragging and yanking her son’s arm after school while trying to bring him to the parent pickup line.
