This month's nature tour at the Tule River Parkway will be held on Saturday, June 14. Participants should meet at the Tule River Parkway parking lot at Jaye Street at 9:30 a.m. The Garden and Scent Tour will focus on one of the less recognized benefits of plants, their scent.

Products are bought to scent homes, laundry and bodies yet nature provides a wide variety of scents in the leaves and flowers of plants.

The tour will wind through the 32 garden spaces, allowing participants to enjoy the flowers and sounds of nature plus enjoy and collect with guidance a variety of plant materials for their scents. At the end of the tour participants are invited to create a sachet to take home.
