CHICO, Calif. - Three men were taken into custody Thursday after agents with the Butte Interagency Narcotics Task Force (BINTF) conducted a significant drug bust in Chico.
Authorities say that BINTF agents developed information that 41-year-old Wesley Woodworth, a resident of Chico, was trafficking fentanyl into Butte County. Agents secured a search warrant for Woodworth, his residence, and his vehicle.
According to BINTF, Woodworth was stopped in a traffic stop on Highway 32 in Chico Thursday. Agents detained Woodworth and two passengers, 46-year-old Richard Yocum and 33-year-old Dominic Dornay.
Inside Woodworth’s car, agents found nearly a quarter pound of fentanyl and methamphetamine. They also searched his home on West 4th Avenue in Chico.
