FOSTORIA, Ohio — A couple living at Evergreen Poplar Village in Fostoria said they’re ready to leave after weeks of unpaid labor and a dispute over the title to their trailer.
Mindy Swartz said she took a job as manager of the mobile home park on April 28, hoping to bring positive change after learning of issues from residents.
“There’s a couple of issues going on in April and then there was no manager,” Mindy said. “I said I'm going to try this. I'm going to try to make a difference because this place needs a lot of change.”
Mindy said she agreed to work for $500 every two weeks, handling rent, evictions and maintenance coordination. However, after two weeks, she claimed she never received a paycheck.
“It turned into a crap show again. No help, higher-ups don’t want to help,” Mindy
