With summer travel season underway, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has updated its health notice for measles with more than 1,100 confirmed cases across the country.

More than 700 of those cases are from here in Texas.

Austinite Molly Li loves taking her family to Oregon during the summer.

"My son is out of school, she's out of school, it's just easier," Li said. "Seeing family, especially going to Portland, the weather is so nice, whereas it's so hot here. It's more comfortable up there."

It's a similar story for Kaylee and her two little ones on their way to Indiana.

"We have zero family out here, so going to see them and get a refresh," Kaylee, who didn't want to give her last name, said. "We're going to be out there for three weeks, so it's going to be a long vacat
