SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - While the weather may be calm now, hurricane season is officially underway.

”Start today to get your preparations underway for the hurricane season. Hurricane season started on June 1and goes all the way to November 30. But you don’t have to wait until a storm forms or threatens your community to get your preparations underway.” NWS Meteorologist Ryan Knapp.
