Class A: Mendon 1, Amherst (VI) 0 (9 innings)

The pitchers dominated tonight's game, but it was at the plate where Samuel Harrigan sent Pittsford Mendon to the Class A state semifinals.

Evan Beiter for Amherst and Cameron Barbulean for Mendon controlled the majority of the ballgame. The two pitchers gave up just five hits in total.

In extra innings, the game was tied 0-0 in the bottom of the ninth. Colden Forney cracked a single into left field to put the winning run on base.

A bunt from Barbulean advanced Forney to second base, putting the winning run in scoring position.

Harrigan then stepped up with a chance to end the game and did just that. A deep fly ball to right field hit off the wall and sent Forney home for the walk-off RBI.
