BUFFALO, N.Y. — A big transformation is on the way for Seneca Street in Buffalo.

Starting next month, the city will kick off the first phase of a $23 million reconstruction project. The initial phase will focus on the area between Wildwood Place and Mineral Springs Road.

Upgrades will be made to roadways, sidewalks, curbs, and streetlights . City leaders said Friday the goal is to breathe new life into this busy corridor, and to make things more smooth for drivers and pedestrians.

The announcement took place in front of The Caz, located at 2221 Seneca St., near where the project will start.
