A campaign has been launched in Coventry to raise awareness of a discreet safety initiative that gives help to people feeling vulnerable on nights out. Ask For Angela is a national scheme where people can ask for help from staff if they feel unsafe or threatened.
Ask for Angela has been operating at venues across the city centre for several years, but there are concerns that awareness has decreased. Coventry BID, Coventry City Council , and West Midlands Police have joined together to ensure the public know about the scheme and will work with businesses on training for employees.
