CRANE LAKE, Minn. (Northern News Now) - As part of its 50th year celebration, Voyageurs National Park celebrated the grand opening of its new visitor center.
A number of park officials, community members and lawmakers were there Friday, including U.S. Senator Tina Smith.
The new center is located in Crane Lake and is the culmination of a years-long planning effort.
The new visitor center will be a starting point for people exploring the park’s waterways and will help visitors learn about, explore and connect with the park’s landscapes and rich history.
