El Sereno: Twenty teams from 11 universities competed last Saturday at Cal State L.A.'s third annual 3D-Printed Fixed-Wing Aircraft Competition . The contest required students to design and fly 3D-printed aircraft up to 35 feet high for 8 seconds before gliding them back safely to the ground. Stanford swept the competition, taking first place Norco College came in second in the flight competition, Cal Poly placed third, and Cal State LA’s 2FlyCrew finished fourth.
