LITTLE ROCK — A legislative committee on Thursday received an update on financial issues involving a small Crittenden County town, with the state treasurer’s office withholding state highway funding until the money owed is paid back in full.

During the meeting at the state Capitol, the Legislative Joint Auditing Committee’s committee on Counties and Municipalities discussed the city of Gilmore and the repayment of state turnback money. The town has a population of around 170 people and is one of the first communities just off I-555, just off the exit from I-55. kAm{2H>2<6CD D2:5 E96 4:EJ H2D :?
