The One Show's Alex Jones was left visibly shocked on Friday evening when legendary singer Lulu seemed to let slip a swear word live on air.

Discussing her illustrious career with Alex and Roman Kemp, Lulu unexpectedly appeared to mouth the F-word, leaving viewers to quickly take notice.

Despite the lack of an on-air apology, both Alex and Roman were seen reacting with visible shock as the incident took place.

Recounting a conversation with Tina Turner, Lulu recounted, "And Tina, I have to tell you something else. Tina said, 'I love it, it is just my life story' and I went, 'Hey girl, it is my f***ing life story'."

Lulu clarified, "I didn't say it straight to her face, though," while Alex could only nod, her expression one of stunned surprise.
