The local Knights of Columbus gave the Stow fire department its annual Blue Coat Award.

Nearly a year ago, Keith and Lori Limbacher were spending a typical evening in their Stow home when Keith lost consciousness on the couch. Suddenly, the routine day became one that would change their lives.

Lori quickly called 911 on June 30, 2024.

However, in the process of trying to get her husband, then 64, off the couch and onto the floor, she tripped over an ottoman and broke her left leg. She was still able to give Keith mouth-to-mouth resuscitation as instructed by a dispatcher.

A Stow police officer arrived about three minutes later, Lori said, and he was able to move the ottoman and give chest compressions until members
