CAVALIER, N.D. — The 29th annual Father's Day motorcycle ride-in will be held next weekend, June 13-15, in Cavalier.

The event, sometimes called "Little Sturgis," according to a release, has at times brought national attention to the tiny border town. But longtime Cavalier Ride-In Committee members Donnie and JoAnn Bergsgaard, who have helped organize the event for the last 15 years, say it's about more than motorcycles.

“We do it for the camaraderie, for the community, and to show off the beauty of the Rendezvous Region,” Donnie Bergsgaard said. “We’ve met people from across the country who know Cavalier because of this event. It’s something special.”
