A judicial review hearing involving a barred Grand Erie District School Board (GEDSB) trustee revealed additional details about her alleged code of conduct violations.

Longtime Brantford trustee Carol Ann Sloat and the GEDSB have been butting heads since at least May 2022 , seemingly stemming from her concern the board conducted too much business in camera away from the public.

Multiple sanctions kept Sloat from going to — or even watching virtually — more than a year of board meetings.

Thursday marked the second time the trustee asked the Divisional Court branch of the Superior Court of Justice to review a decision of the school board.
