After years of delay, plans call to restore Edenton’s Hotel Hinton to glory days

Following 10 years of false starts and controversy, the historic Hotel Hinton in Edenton may be returning to its past glory, with tentative plans presented to the Edenton Town Council to create a boutique hotel with up to 60 rooms and limited long-term lease residences.
Dawson Tyler, owner of Down East Preservation, presented the new concept tor the town council at its April 28 meeting, telling them “We are working really diligently to bring this thing to something that I think all of you can be proud of, and hopefully the entire town.”
