The family of a missing teenager has issued a major update after a body was heartbreakingly found following alarming doorbell footage.

Cole Cooper, 19, was last seen on May 7 by a school friend near the village Longcroft in Scotland . The teen asked his pal for a ride, which he was not given, then Cole was reported as missing on May 9. His family has cancelled an upcoming search after a body was found during the hunt for the teenager. The discovery was made in a wooded area near Kilsyth Road in Banknock, Falkirk, at around 4.15pm on Friday this week.

Police are waiting for a formal identification of the body to take place but his family have since shared the heartbreaking search update prior to a scheduled hunt on Sunday, Daily Record reports.
