SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR) -- Behind a high-powered offense and a gem from starting pitcher Brandon Sproat, the Syracuse Mets stormed past the Buffalo Bisons 18-0 on Friday night. The Mets put up a season-high 17 runs and went 11-for-18 with runners in scoring position. Brandon Sproat also had a fantastic night pitching six scoreless innings with four strikeouts.

The play of the night happened in the seventh inning when Drew Gilbert smacked a grand slam over the right center wall to push them ahead 13-0. Syracuse continues its six-game series with Buffalo on Saturday night with game five. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
