ZEBULON, N.C. (WNCN) — Wake County fire marshals are currently investigating what caused a house fire late Friday night in Zebulon, which led to three people losing their home, officials said.

According to officials, crews from the Hopkins Rural Fire Department were called to the fire just before 9:30 p.m. on the 3400 block of Yellow Buckeye Lane.

Firefighter units from three other counties were beckoned to assist on the scene when arriving crews deemed the call a working house fire.

The fire marshal investigating the fire said three people were displaced as a result of this fire.

Although some people were home when the fire started, the residents present were able to safely evacuate without injuries. No crews fighting the fire were injured either, according to the fire marshal.
