Fans are rallying behind Miley Cyrus after "disrespectful" members of the audience at the world premiere of her Something Beautiful pop opera film at the Tribeca Film Festival interrupted the talkback to complain about her lack of a live performance.

In a new video from the event, which took place on the evening of Friday, June 6, Cyrus could be seen sitting in a chair on stage, with one of the moderators speaking when a voice rang out from the audience, shouting, "We thought this was a concert! We paid $800!"

"Are you actually going to sing?" the voice screeched, leading Cyrus' mouth to drop open in shock.
