Four Mason City teens were taken into custody Friday after a gun shop was burglarized.

At 1:24 a.m. Friday, the Mason City Police Department responded to a burglar alarm at Hart Brothers Weaponry, 613 S. Federal Ave. When officers arrived, they found the front door open and a smashed display case that was missing several weapons.

Based on the follow-up investigation, search warrants were obtained for four Mason City residences and two vehicles. During the execution of the warrants, seven handguns were recovered -- six of which were stolen in the burglary at Hart Brothers.

The following charges have been filed:

LaDanian Pannhoff, 18, Mason City, was charged with fourth degree theft and trafficking stolen weapons, first offense.
