SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Summertime heat and humidity continue through the weekend with highs in the 90s and some areas seeing feels-like temperatures in the triple digits! Be sure to stay hydrated and wear sunscreen! We won’t just see high heat, however; storm chances rise through the weekend, and so will severe weather chances!
Through this morning, a batch of storms rolled past the ArkLaTex to the north, bringing a few storms to our far northern counties. Skies should turn mostly clear through the afternoon, then by the evening, storms are likely to develop to our north and sink southward into our region. The storms bring a slight risk (Level 2/5) of severe weather to areas north and around I-20 and a marginal risk to the southern half. Storms may last into early Sunday morning before
