Police have busted a major cannabis farm found growing on a Midlands high street.

More than 300 plants were found growing across multiple floors of an address on High Street, Rowley Regis on June 6.

With the average cannabis plant having a street value of £1,000, the cannabis factory was worth at least an estimated £300,000.

West Midlands Police arrested a man in his 20s on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and abstracting electricity.

He was bailed while enquiries continue.

Officers were called to the scene after receiving a call to assist British Gas make the property safe.
