Winnipeg police are looking for a man wanted for second-degree murder in the death of 39-year-old Ralph Moise.

A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for Paul Xavier Bonnick, 33. Police say he should be considered dangerous and may be armed. Members of the public are advised not to approach him.

Moise, a member of the Sayisi Dene First Nation, was found seriously injured on the ground in the 300 block of Cumberland Avenue shortly after 1 a.m. on May 23. Officers from the Central District responded to the call and provided emergency medical care, including chest seals, before paramedics arrived.

Moise was taken to hospital in critical condition but later died.

The Homicide Unit took over the case and identified Bonnick as the suspect.
