A Pride event and parade has been cancelled after a severe thunderstorm warning was issued.

Corby Town Council said it was "extremely disappointed" as it was forced to curtail the planned Pride day on Saturday at Coronation Park.

A Met Office yellow weather warning has been issued for thunderstorms across parts of central and southern England and Wales, including Northamptonshire .

A spokesperson for Corby Town Council said: "It is with disappointment that we have had to cancel our Corby Pride and Parade planned for 7th June 2025 in Coronation Park from 12pm.

"This is due to the adverse weather warnings in place for the county tomorrow and the risk to public safety, which is our utmost priority.

"We are extremely disappointed to have to make this decision and would like to thank
